Smoker’s Lines

The fine vertical lines around the mouth — smoker’s lines — can make the lips appear thinner and older. Botox softens them and restores the mouth area’s calm surface.

Lines with many causes

Smoker's lines are vertical wrinkles that form around the lips, usually from repeated facial movements — smoking is a classic cause, but ordinary speech, expressions and ageing contribute too. The lines can make the lips look thinner and more drawn, giving the mouth area an older expression.

Treatment and results

Small doses of botulinum toxin type A are injected into the muscles causing the wrinkles. The muscles relax and the lines' depth decreases noticeably. Before treatment, a qualified physician or nurse determines the dosage and optimal treatment area at a consultation.

The treatment itself takes only minutes and you return directly to your usual activities. Results are usually visible within a few days and last up to six months.

    If you wish, a local anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for a more comfortable injection. It takes effect within 10–15 minutes and lasts throughout the treatment.

  5. Mapping of injection points

    Injection points are marked on the treatment area for a perfect result.

  6. Cleaning & disinfection

    The treatment area is cleaned and disinfected for a sterile, safe procedure.

  7. Injection

    The injections proceed step by step, with you involved in every decision throughout the process.

  8. Feedback

    You review the result. If anything needs adjusting, the treatment continues until you are satisfied.

  9. Massage of the area

    Finally, our aesthetic experts massage the treated area to encourage even distribution and achieve the desired look and feel.

  10. Photo / After picture

    For documentation purposes (mandatory) and publication on social media & the website (optional).

  11. Aftercare information

    You receive instructions on how to care for the treated area over the following hours.
