Tired Eyes – Tear Trough
Deep hollows and dark circles under the eyes make you look more tired than you are. The tear trough treatment restores volume under the eyes — for an instantly fresher, more rested gaze.
For both young and mature eyes
Tear trough fillers are used by clients of all ages. For mature clients we replace tissue volume lost over the years. For younger clients it is often about naturally thin under-eye skin: the filler makes the skin less translucent, so dark underlying tissue no longer shows through and the area appears brighter.
The treatment is, however, not suitable for pigmented dark circles — we assess this honestly at the consultation.
Precision in a delicate area
The procedure involves injecting a low-density dermal filler into the tear trough — the area under the eyes that sinks with age as the orbital fat pad thins and surrounding bone structure recedes. Filling the SOOF fat pad (sub-orbicularis oculi) gives immediate results: rejuvenated, fresh eyes and a brighter facial expression.
At 3DBeauty Clinic we use the latest micro-cannula technique: a blunt-tipped instrument that glides through the skin's tissue layers instead of puncturing them, minimising the risk of damage to the vessels around the eye — and making the treatment considerably gentler than classic injection technique. We also use an extra-fine filler developed specifically for the under-eye area.
