How the treatment works

Before. Our licensed staff carefully examine your skin to assess whether you are a suitable candidate, and thoroughly explain the procedure, its benefits and risks. Topical anaesthetic is applied 20–30 minutes before treatment for your comfort.

During. Profhilo is injected superficially at exact positions using the specific Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique — five injection points per side of the face. The soft, slow injections provide maximum comfort, and in areas with a higher risk of bruising, blunt cannulas may be used. Thanks to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid, the product immediately begins spreading evenly through the face.

After. Avoid touching or applying make-up to the treated area for 6 hours to prevent infection. Slight tenderness may occur but subsides by the next day. Specific aftercare instructions are given during your visit.

    You complete a health questionnaire and give your consent.

  4. Anaesthetic

    If you wish, a local anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for a more comfortable injection. It takes effect within 10–15 minutes and lasts throughout the treatment.

  5. Mapping of injection points

    Injection points are marked on the treatment area for a perfect result.

  6. Cleaning & disinfection

    The treatment area is cleaned and disinfected for a sterile, safe procedure.

  7. Injection

    The injections proceed step by step, with you involved in every decision throughout the process.

  8. Feedback

    You review the result. If anything needs adjusting, the treatment continues until you are satisfied.

  9. Massage of the area

    Finally, our aesthetic experts massage the treated area to encourage even distribution and achieve the desired look and feel.

  10. Photo / After picture

    For documentation purposes (mandatory) and publication on social media & the website (optional).

  11. Aftercare information

    You receive instructions on how to care for the treated area over the following hours.
