A consultation must be completed no later than 48 hours before your treatment! Otherwise no treatment can be performed during the booked appointment. These consultation rules apply only to injectable treatments, NOT skin treatments.

Existing client: If you have visited us within the past 6 months, you can book an injectable treatment directly without a new consultation. If more than 6 months have passed, a new consultation is required no later than 48 hours before your treatment. Consultations are usually held online (or in person when needed) and are free of charge.

The consultation step by step:

• You meet a licensed practitioner digitally.
• You receive verbal and written information, including the risks of the treatment.
• You have the opportunity to give your consent to the treatment.
• We listen to your wishes and expectations, and answer all your questions.
• An appointment is booked for treatment no earlier than 48 hours after the consultation with our injection specialists — a licensed physician or registered nurse.
• We call you via video (FaceTime, Viber, WhatsApp etc.) at your booked time.

A consultation for an injectable treatment takes between 15–30 minutes, depending on how many questions you have.

Yes, an online consultation works perfectly well.

Fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, a moisture-binding sugar molecule found naturally in various parts of the body, including the skin. Hyaluronic acid and collagen maintain the skin's layers and structure and help give the skin volume and moisture. With age, the body's own hyaluronic acid decreases and the skin becomes looser.

Results are visible immediately, and after about three to five days the swelling that many experience has usually subsided and the true result becomes more visible. All swelling and any bruising settles within about 2 weeks.

You can usually return to work and your normal routines after a filler treatment. Mild tenderness and redness may occur but usually settles within a day. Some experience swelling that can be visible for a few days. Some also get bruising that may need covering with make-up over the following days. Make-up should however be avoided for the first 24 hours to prevent infection in the treated areas.

Filler treatments should not be performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

It is recommended to wait at least 2 months after finishing breastfeeding before undergoing an injectable treatment.

You must not have an active herpes infection before or during your treatment.

There are several brands on the market and we work with most of them. What differs between products is how much water they attract, how well they hold their shape, how well they stay in the area without migrating, viscosity and density. The brand you are treated with depends on the area being treated and your individual conditions.

All the filler brands we use contain hyaluronic acid. It is the most common substance used in fillers since it arrived in the 1990s. They are not permanent but are gradually broken down by the body.

Different filler brands can be combined in different regions of the face. In theory, different hyaluronic acid-based fillers can even be mixed in, for example, the lips. This is usually no problem, but consult our practitioner beforehand if you have previously been treated with another brand.

Pain is individual. Before the treatment a numbing ointment (lidocaine) is applied to minimise pain. Some of our fillers also contain anaesthetic in the syringe itself for better pain relief.

We offer anaesthetic with all our treatments. A numbing ointment containing lidocaine (topical anaesthetic) is applied to the treatment area and left to work for 10–20 minutes before treatment.

It depends on the area treated and your own metabolism and lifestyle. Each treatment area of the face has its own duration, depending on the tissue beneath the skin and the activity of the area. Normally most treatments last between four and twelve months, sometimes up to 24 months.

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be dissolved by injecting an antidote called Hyalase. After a Hyalase treatment the filler breaks down within 24 hours and the appearance is restored immediately. A so-called patch test is always performed before a Hyalase treatment to rule out an allergic reaction to the substance (very rare).

If, against expectation, something goes wrong, the result reverses as the product is broken down by the body, or it can be dissolved with a Hyalase treatment directly on site.

Possible complications of a filler treatment can include:

• Infections where the skin has been penetrated
• Asymmetry and unevenness
• Bruising, bleeding and/or swelling may appear shortly after treatment and persist for one to two weeks
• The skin in the treated area may also become red and irritated, itch, and develop rashes or hypersensitivity

These side effects are also uncommon and usually pass quickly.

Yes, filler treatments are not permanent. Eventually the body returns to its original shape.

Fillers in the lips are absorbed faster than in other parts of the face, and a build-up phase is usually required. It usually takes 2–3 treatments during the build-up phase. A few weeks after the first treatment you may find the lips have returned almost to their starting point. A top-up is usually needed 1–2 months after the first visit to achieve a long-lasting, natural result.

Once the desired result is achieved, maintenance 1–2 times per year is sufficient.

If it is your first lip filler treatment, the body works to break down the filler during the first weeks. 3–4 weeks after the first visit you may find the lips have reduced considerably. A follow-up treatment after 3–4 weeks is therefore beneficial for a long-lasting result.

Each treatment is usually performed with 0.5–1 ml. This varies depending on the patient's conditions.

No, we do not perform treatments on lips with herpes/cold sores due to the risk of infection. We recommend waiting until the lips have healed.
